| The design process started with a rethinking of the internal organization of a residence. The plan is centered around the kitchen. Creating an open feeling that includes rather than excludes the more traditional service spaces. The octagonal plan lent itself to the pod like installation. This project was the first one I did entirely in the computer from concept sketches up through final renders. It was done as much to get accustomed to using my then new wacom tablet as it was to explore this idea of centering a house around the kitchen. | ||
